TOP OF THE TOWER: ISSUE 18 - Sunday Forever

Real estate is expensive, especially when we're talking beauty product space. Our Top of the Tower product picks are always front and center, right where they belong.

Thank goodness Spring 2019 isn’t far away; we’re allegedly in for an early arrival if you put your weather forecasting in the hands of a groundhog (hey, you do you). And an early spring means we’ll all be extra-ready to embrace the beauty trends of the season which include glowy skin and painterly pops of blush, preferably in shades of rose and pastel pinks.

We knew we had to try the Giorgio Armani Neo Nude A-Blush the second Violet Grey announced it was a Violet Code Approved product.  We’re also suckers for beautiful packaging and this little gem doesn’t disappoint. The tiny tube, complete with doe-foot sponge, makes application effortless and allows us to roam the New York streets brush-free (Hallelujah!). Of course, it’s what’s on the inside that matters and this water-based blush is what makeup love poems are written for. The formulation is sheer but buildable and easy to blend, which is important when trying to create a watercolor-esque puddle of color on your cheekbones. You want no visible beginning or end to the blush but rather a subtle ombré from skin to blush back to skin. It applies seamlessly over foundation and bare skin and the flush lasts as long as a stain; hours.

We’re currently stuck on shade 51, a warm raspberry, but intend on trying out the remaining four shades before the cherry blossoms bloom. It’s going to be a beautiful Spring.
