Pulling together a holiday outfit can be AN ENORMOUS effort during a season that has us spread at our thinnest. There are parties to attend, shopping lists to complete, and travel plans to book. Add to that the complication of outfit planning and it’s a recipe for A HOLIDAY MELTDOWN. WE’ve got you. Light a candle, pour yourself a glass of whatever and scroll away.

It’s pathetic that only 5% of Fortune 500 company CEOs are women (source: CNBC). It’s 2019 and we are pissed but out to change things. What that means is women can wear whatever they damn well please at work and outside of work because we’re done with being judged by superficial benchmarks. And let’s face facts; we look better in suits anyway. So, take that Patriarchy. And yes, we understand it may be frivolous to talk women’s rights in a fashion post but, again, we have the right to enjoy fun, fleeting things…like fashion.

This golden velvet jacket is, well, almost as good as Michelle Obama telling Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, "I have been at probably every powerful table that you can think of…I have worked in corporations, served on corporate boards, I have sat in at the U.N.: They are not that smart." Almost. It would kick some misogynist ass with these Spanx Faux Leather Leggings and a pair of black, worn-in converse. It says, “I don’t fit into the pretty little box you’ve built for me.”

If pink is more your speed, look no further than the Cinq à Sept Kylie Satin blazer. It’s tough and girly and edgy and beautiful an outfit made even better when worn with your Women Don’t Owe You $hit tee.

What’s better than a jumpsuit, we ask? Nothing. It’s the easiest way to pull together a “look.” without having to pair multiple pieces together and hope for harmony. Instead, you step into a jumpsuit, zip up and go. These work BEST when not drinking too many liquids (egg nog or water) - bathroom breaks can get tricky after a few REFRESHMENTS; However, if you’re skilled in the rare art of drinking while jump-suiting, then we have some options for you!

This Maje Pacome Jumpsuit is reminiscent of YSL’s 1966 creation, the Le Smoking a tuxedo made famous by the unforgettable photographer, Helmut Newton. It’s very French, very chic and a classic you can wear year after year. It’s also a jumpsuit you can still and make your own. Wear it with black stilettos or leopard Vans. Drape yourself with bangles and baubles or simple diamond stud earrings. It’s completely your call but we imagine it will be perfection.

There’s a time to be fancy, to treat yo’ self. And sometimes, that time is right around December. You’ve made it through the past 11 months and you are hell-bent on making the last month of the decade count. Sounds like you? Then look and listen. You’re the type of person who should arrive at your holiday party draped in…gold, a complete show-stopper, a jumpsuit to end all jumpsuits. In fact, this Sally LaPointe number has New Year’s Eve written all over it. Happy New Year to you!

If GOLD isn’t your thing, but 80’s, Dynasty vibes are, this ALC option gives off major ALEXIS COLBY ENERGY.. We can almost imagine tossing a glass of chardonnay into our nemesis’ face and storming out of the room while wearing this little number (EDITOR’S NOTE: SUNDAY FOREVER DOES NOT ENDORSE THROWING ANYTHING AT YOUR FELLOW PARTY-GOERS).

Sometimes It’s nice to stand out in a room full of boring suits. In New York, We’re so used to black, grey, navy and White, we clutch our pearls when someone actually chooses to wear color. It’s a welcome sight and jewel tones are breathtaking under the glow of the twinkling holiday lights.
